I like the way they've just announced both gigs instead of the usual 'by popular demand' crap.

Gone by 10.05 at the latest I'd say....Liam Gallagher in The Olympia - sell out in minutes

I better get a ticket for this in the morning before it sells out! And when I do I'll be hoping for a setlist including some Oasis tunes (Obviously no Noel songs will be even considered by the band) as well as the Beady Eye album - possibly Turn Up The Sun, Hung In A Bad Place, Songbird, Born On A Different Cloud, To Be Where There's Life. That would be just mega in The Olympia. ;)

They've said in interviews that there will be no Oasis tunes at all in the setlist.

No problem for me getting 4 tickets standing on Friday.

I didn't bother with tickets for this, always found Liam's voice quite annoying at times and I have not liked any songs I have heard from these yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,104 ✭✭✭ryaner777

Got two standing for friday, looking forward to this. I hoping the album is a proper old type album where all the songs together as a group are allot better then when we hear them as singles. fingers crossed.

I tried searching for tickets for this gig on Ticketmaster, but even after searching 'best available' and 'any price', still getting the message 'Sorry, no exact matches were found, but other tickets may still be available.'

Does this generally mean that tickets are sold out? I'm not too familiar with Ticketmaster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,200 ✭✭✭kensutz

    Yes sold out!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 26 Fishy123

It's sold out completely for both nights, The Friday gig sold out the day it came pretty much.

I'd say your best bet would be to keep trying closer to the event date, they always bring out a few more tickets a week or two before hand.

Really looking forward to Friday's gig. The lad I'm going with tomorrow just got a free ticket to tonight's show as well, lucky swine! Apparently the untalented Gallagher is playing an after show in some pub in town as well.

Any idea what happened? A fire engine and 2 ambulances outside the Olympia according to Twitter.

And the "untalented gallagher" actually puts on a decent show. Think its in the Mercantile but I am probably wrong.

Onstage around 9:15/9:20 if I remember correctly. Good gig, Wigwam was the highlight of the set for me, thought the echo/feedback in the vocals of The Morning Son ruined that song a bit though but apart from that it was all good.
