I seem to be losing losing weight from everywhere but there and its really beginning to annoy me . I've carried a modest spare tyre for the last few years now but made a pact with myself before christmas (mid november i think) that I was gonna get myself in shape and for the last few months have been making progress with stamina in terms of cardio and general firming up , but no matter what I do no matter how much of an improvement there has been in my body shape from the front and in profile if i stand at a 45 degree angle to the mirror the saddle bags are still their plain as day .

What can I do to shift them , is their an exercise ? , do I have to run on the treadmill for longer still ? how long did it take yours to shift ? how annoying are my twenty questions :p

Seriously tho advice would be appreciated :D

You can't spot reduce fat. no excercise targets one area more than others.
Your body decides where to take it from, it's not always evenly spread over the whole body. Keep going and eventually it come off your back, or any other problem areas

Usually with men losing weight operates on a first in last out pattern. Some people find belly fat the most stubborn part and in your case it's obviously your back. As Mellor said there is no specific exercise that will lose fat from that area. It's an overall thing. Around this point can be tough in dieting as you think no matter how much progress you have been making that you just won't achieve your goal. But stick with it and it will eventually happen. Look at your diet. Perhaps you still may be eating too much of the wrong stuff. Also i know you mentioned cardio but i'm not sure if you are using weights at all. You could try get into some deadlifting, squating or doing some rows. They will work the back muscles and as they develop you may be a bit happier when you look in the mirror. Those exercises still won't help you lose fat from that area though.

Admitedly my diet isn't the best I basically eat what I eat but have cut out the coke and snacks, never been the dieting type tbh . No I do do weights when I hit the gym I just emphasized the cardio because thats an area where I'm most proud of my progress ( i use to struggle to run for 15 mins now I can manage 45 mins and over) that said perhaps I have been neglecting my back I tend to just use the machines on hand that work that muscle group rather then doing squats/deadlifts so thats definately something I'll look into .

I guess the key when it comes down to it is there is no substitute for hard work and patience I'm getting the former down still gotta work on the latter tho I guess lol .

Yeah man just hang in there. Try gradually cut things out of your diet if you find dieting difficult. Such as just eat healthier 2-3 days of the week and continue on as normal for the rest and keep trying to push it out for as many days as possible. You don't have to go nuts and live like a rabbit. Just watch the calories if you do decide to for some biscuits with your tea or a chocolate bar. Once you're creating the deficit you should be fine. But opting for the healthier food is the better option.
