Hi,sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I am wondering will the courts close on the day of the election and does it affect court sittings?

No it doesn't affect court sittings.

Some courthouses are used as polling booths. That may involve adjournment of that day's court unless Court Services can organise an alternative venue.

That would be towns down the country where there's no suitable school or parish hall available. I don't think any of the courts in Dublin are used for elections.

OP, I see you're in Kerry. If you know the name and address of someone who lives close to the courthouse, you can look them up on www.checktheregister.ie - the individual entry for each elector lists the place where they vote.
