Thermal Blocks

Hoping to start my self build this spring.

Still undecided on whether to go for thermal blocks for the inner leaf of the structure.

Has anyone built their own house or had experience in living in a house built with thermal blocks (Quinnlite and the like) compared to the traditional dense concrete masory block?

Wall structure is 100mm outer leaf, 150mm pumped cavity, 215mm inner leaf on the ground floor (only on walls that have window and door openings to get the window / door splays). Inner leaf of the first floor will all be in 100 block) House is 4000sqft.

Is the increase in cost in building with thermal blocks over standard blocks worth it in the long run?

    Thanks.

Big house, lots of external wall. Increase the cavity to 200, use standard masonery and use B5 quinlite (subject to str eng approval) on the dry side of the rising wall to eliminate the ground cold bridge and keep the inner leaf and floor slab warm (>18 degrees).
