Tokyo Marui are all constructed out of plastic because of restrictions imposed due to tight firearm laws in Japan. As a result it is recommended that you do not use high pressured gasses. They even recommend against Propane/Green Gas (however that is largely as a disclaimer to protect themselves and their manufacturers warranty). TM and Co2 tend not to go together without a good deal of work and upgrading/downgrading - remember with higher pressured gasses comes more power, and we've to make sure that everything is firing <1 joule (328fps w/0.20g BBs). They are, however, considered to be one of the best, if not the best in Airsoft pistols.

KJW are a company that I am hugely fond of. You can source parts direct from the manufacturer for next to nothing, and so should anything go wrong, you're not stuck. They make a range of full metal pistols, and at the moment have Co2 1911's and M9's. Good solid performance, well made and just in short, awesome. They are middle of the range in pistols.

Marushin are a company that make a lot of unusual and unique guns, and their external quality (in my experience) is fantastic, but performance is not so. If I remember correctly, they used to make (and still do) blank-firing guns for movies etc, so they're not really too pushed on performance.

KSC on the other hand are known for quality across the board, and being one of the brands recommended to people who want to skirmish (play the sport/game of airsoft) with pistols only. On the whole, they tend to be very well designed, well made and solid performers.

KWC make some solid Co2 non blowbacks, so whereas you lose the awesome fun of the actioning slide, you gain further reliability (less moving parts), reduced noise levels and a much more economic pistol (more shots to 12g Co2 Cartridge).

There are a whole pile of manufacturers out there - what I recommend, and always have done, is look at a pistol you like the look of, see who makes it, and choose based on A) Quality of Replica B) Initial Cost C) Upgradeability D) Performance

Just a semi only, think its pointless having an automatic pistol wastes the bbs to fast

So dreadlock and inari would u know if most kjw or ksc pistols can be gas and co2 depending only on if u put a gas or co2 mag into it

I have a Kjw co2 pistol which is really nice and if it's a co2 pistol, you can get a co2 mag for it and it will work but the slide will most likely end up in face!:p

KSC tend not to do CO2 magazines for their guns. RA-Tech do a CO2 magazine for the KSC Glock, however I'm not sure how compatible they are.

KJW produce guns for just Green Gas, and for both Green Gas & CO2. The CO2 guns have a reinforced loading nozzle (usually brightly coloured; red for 1911's and blue for M9's). If you want to be sure you can just look out for the loading nozzle, or just go for the one that comes with the CO2 magazine, and it will be compatible with the green gas magazines as well.

Aye, I have 2 of them...well, two variants of the KP-05. I have the S&W 1911PD (slightly modified KP-05 for Cybergun), and the traditional KP-05. Both very solid guns.

The CO2 gives the gun a very sharp, and very nice blowback, on top of a very consistent performance. The Green Gas gives a nice kick, and solid performance. No doubts though, you will prefer the kick that CO2 gives.
