While opening and feeding my bales of silage this year,i have come across quite a few bales with a layer of netting in every layer of the bale if you know what i mean? What causes this?It is fair annoying when you come across one of these bales, could spend quite a bit of time trying to pull all the netting out.Anybody else have this problem?I have come across a few down through the years, but maybe about 20 bales out of 500 used so far this year.

Did you bale it yourself or was it a contractor?

Its mainly due to the knife not cutting the net on the bale before. This means that the net hangs within the chamber and once the next bale starts to build up the net gets dragged in.

What happens is the baler is late stopping, the net starts after 3 beeps and any grass after that is between net. It is annoying

thats down to the operator, the OP's problem seems to be more a fault with the baler/knife

Sorry I misunderstood the OP, this happened to me on the odd occasion when the brake doesn’t work correctly, you have to keep an eye on the roll of net, its a mystery as to what causes it on my baler I may only get an odd bale a year, the Ops guy must notice the roll of net disappearing
