android, youtube, you must be over 18

    i'm getting this error when i try to view some videos on youtube. i'm using the latest youtube application on a 2.2 htc desire and the problem happens on vodafone 3g and wifi.

    as far as i know i'm logged into the youtube app (when i use the share option it's telling "myusername shared xyz with you").

    i have no problem viewing the clips in my desktop browser.

    any ideas?

    Have you linked your gmail account to the youtube app? Maybe gmail has your dob wrong

    Link Youtube to your gmail then it'll know your DOB

    i use google apps for my email. youtube is showing on the accounts page in it. to me this would mean that it's linked?

    Goto Your pc, sign out of Youtube and sign back in with Your google id (not youtube username & pass), this should link them

    i should add that it works via http://m.youtube.com on the desire in the phone browser.

    On my galaxy there's a sign out option on the top right. If you have no sign out option you're probably not signed in

    i have the latest youtube from the market. i'm gonna move back to the original one that came with the phone and see if that helps i guess. i don't have any signin/signout options.
