    We have all seen the adds for the rare vw beetle , escort etc quoted as only 3 or 4 in the country , but is there a way of finding out this information from Shannon bar ringing them up , I know they can only have info on vehicles that are actually reg here, thanks

    Chances are Shannon won't know as there registration is so generic
    I think there is better data available in the UK
    I've a friend with a particular model of car and he can tell me there 3 still registered in the UK

    What are you looking at? the experts here will tell you if there bullshating or not
    If its a beetle and red and for sale in Co. Kildare and a 7x-xx reg and the one i know. It is very rare

    The DVLA will tell you exactly whats on the road and on SORN in england if you ask, for instance theres only three Datsun E10 100A Estates like mine left roadworthy in england, and i know of two here, mine and a friends one, but im only guessing at the amount here as there seems to be no record of anything, and if you ask they wont tell you. I have a list, maybe a year old now of all the remaining Datsun vehicles on the road in the UK from the DVLA.

    Im pretty sure my Datsun 200L is the only original irish registered example of its type on the road here, but il never know for sure, and besides, it doesnt make the car anymore valuable either. Just makes it harder to get parts!:p
