just bought a belmac 2100gallon with 23.1r 26 wheels, sprung drawbar and a 10000lt pump. sprung drawbar is great. straight deal and had nearly a grand change out of 10k. very good quality tanker and easy pulled. pulling it with a 90hp new holland tl90a 2wd:)

so there is money in farming then?????are you getting arecessed tank?with the l.g.p tyres?quite abit dearer but worth it i believe.easier on even dryer ground and easier pulled than smaller wheels.also would mean abetter resale value where uever 2sell it later.sprung drawbar 2 and the 4 filling points even if uonly get 2 valves supplied.o and 20 foot of the green/blue hose.the standard 15 foot can b abit short on thehigher tank.

1973. I'd say slurry tankers were thin on the ground back then. I'd say alot of farmers wouldn't have known what one was!

Best of luck with your new tanker, hopefully it lasts as long!;)

for that size tanker, whats the recommended (minimum) size tractor to pull it?
i know, different types of land will require different size tractors etc, etc - but even for road use - for safety reasons alone, is there a minimum size tractor for different size tankers?

my old lady has been around for as long as i can remainder 1300gls abbey, nothing like a good dob of wet clay to seal up them holes, probably wont change her till she implodes some day, then again that wont happen with the hole in it............

Dryan, i think that the tractors are about 130 hp each so they should have no problem holding them

no problem for the tractor. the older tank is actually harder to pull. must be the wheels and sprung draw bar. im lucky to have dry land, but she is no problem on the roads-up or down hill

Have a 1650 gallon Belmac tanker. happy enough with it apart for the wheels - there abit small. Thinking of changing it for one with recessed wheels. Looking at a 2000 gallon Hi Spec - but a lad I know has one and he says he finds it hard to pull????
Anyone have any experiance of this tank or recomment a good tank - Like the look of the Euro spec ones - as seen on DoneDeal

We pull a 2350 hispec with a mf3085 raed 80hp at the shaft but a 6pot so its a good puller they say 100hp at the drawbar. We used pull it with a ts110 only 4pot much lighter tractor but still managed. We find anyway no matter how big the tractor pulling it is if she starts tearing the ground your going no where anyway. We now have 145hp pulling it and shell still start slipping in the same spots the smaller hp just means you cant act the fool with it so youd probably better off with it if its not yourself driving they think they can go faster with the big machine!

vander, if you want to go a cheaper route put 21.3 by 24 tractor grip tyres on her thats what the sales man told me, went for a look an they seem to be a fair job.im going to go that route much cheape than a recessed tanker.

Bought a 2000 gallon Hi Spec on 28.1 recessed tyres there a while ago. Its an excellent tank. Fills fast, spreads evenly, easy to pull, super brakes on it, seems very well made. Would have no problem recommending 1
