DVD Hardware Not Recognised

Help!! Recently my DVD is not being recognised by my PC (Windows XP SP3), it will read CD format fine, but just not DVD, any suggestions?:confused:

Could it read DVD's before? Do you get any errors when trying to read dvd's?

It might just be a cd drive!
