I passed a sign today that was entitled "Philosophies of East and West" but unfortunately the traffic was moving fast and I couldn't catch the details. I was just wondering does anyone know where and when it will be held?

Just wait for the next one. It'll be along shortly.
It's not really a lecture, more a recruitment exercise for a known cult.

I'd say this is the one...http://www.newacropolis-ireland.org/

    Which cult, Cavehill Red?

You just linked to them. The New Acropolis cult. Rick Ross the cult exposer has written about them, and they were declared a cult in France.
Former members have revealed that their doctrines were National Socialist in tone (Nazi, in other words) with strong emphasis on creating a new type of superhumans. Blacks were considered inferior beings.
Other elements of their nonsense were derived by their Italian founder from Madame Blavatsky's Theosophical movement, which itself was a mish-mash of Occultist racist nonsense.

Yikes, thanks for the warning Cavehill. I love going to lectures. Philosophy and cultural studies has interested me lately so the poster caught my eye.

Both fascinating areas to study. That's why this shower use them to suck curious, intelligent people into their recruitment drives.

    Not Your Ornery Onager

Thet run a lot of different 'courses', and advertise in the Irish Times (last Saturday, for instance - actually, regularly in the Saturday edition).
