Looks like the filing deadline will be brought forward to sept. and will now clash with 31 dec ct deadline of 21 sept, if things aren't busy enough that time of year. What's the point of moving it, I know they say it's to get money in earlier, but if they wanted that all they would have to do is bring forward the prelim deadline and leave the filing deadline.

Also looks like s.23 is staying, will fg get rid of it next year. Real pass the buck stuff from ff.

Will be interesting to see if the 30th September deadline makes it through. Definitely put more pressure on accountants around that time.

As for S23, phasing it out over a longer period is much fairer than simply cutting it off. You cant sell something to people only to change your mind a few years later.

What filing day are they proposing to bring forward? Income Tax?

30th of Sept from 31 Oct for income tax, guessing they'll keep the online extension so should be 14th of Oct for online filing.

Very minor appreciation where im concerned. Self-indulgent people tbh. Shouldnt be allowed near government. They have no concern for national issues...only look after their own...its corruption but no1 seems to view as such.
