in profile it really does look like a Z3 coupe - but on the upside it also looks like a modern Jensen Interceptor - the original FF car!

I'm pretty off put by that, doesn't look like a Ferrari looks like a flatter bmw x1 or something, it just looks off....

The low slung side view does make it look like the old model M Coupe, but I loved them, so think I will like this too!

this, plus the front lights are 370Z. Does nothing for me. All they need now is a diesel SUV.

Back end would look so much better if it was tapered down to the boot a wee bit rather than just sticking out like the back of an estate.

In truth, there are very few Ferrari's that float my boat.

Ferrari has revealed details of its first ever four-wheel drive model. The Pininfarina-designed FF (meaning four seats and four-wheel drive) is billed as the Italian manufacturer’s fastest four-seater ever and uses a front-mounted 6.2-litre direct injection V12 engine, producing 651bhp at 8,000rpm and 504lb ft of torque at 6,000rpm, mated to a transaxle dual-clutch F1 paddle-shift gearbox.

At 4.9m and 1,790kg the FF is fractionally longer and lighter than the outgoing 612 Scaglietti four-seater, and 3.5cm taller, too. Ferrari says it will accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 208mph.

Ferrari’s 4RM four-wheel drive hardware weighs 50 per cent less than a conventional set‑up, while maintaining near perfect 47:53 weight distribution. According to Ferrari, it “delivers record levels of performance on all terrains and all conditions via continuous and intelligent predictive torque distribution to all four wheels”. Rather than proper off-roading, however, FF owners will be able to use their cars on “low grip or snow-covered surfaces”, as well as more conventional Ferrari territory such as on the track and in city driving.

The FF will also have carbon-ceramic brakes and a “magnetorheological” adaptive damping system, as featured on Ferrari’s 458 Italia.

Maranello’s latest is promised to offer levels of passenger space, comfort and equipment previously unheard of for a car of this kind. With four seats and a 450-litre boot it will, says Ferrari, “comfortably accommodate four people and their luggage”.

    source

Interesting car and a radical departure for Ferrari.

I like it - it's Ferrari's answer to the Cayenne if you ask me, they missed the boat on the SUV thing so have come up with this.
Let us wait and see how it performs and handles before we make decisions on it's merits no ?

love the m coupe - prices are crazy for second-hand models.

Personally I love the shooting-brake type shape.

    other examples are reliant scimitar

I like it. It's replacing the 612, which was ugly anyhow. At least this one is ugly and seats four people and carries luggage.

cover the bonnet with your hand and look,

    anyone else see grande punto?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,812 ✭✭✭mailforkev

    I really like it.

The angle of the front on shot is a bit odd, makes the front look much higher than I reckon it actually is.

    The back looks pretty good.

Sorry but that looks great IMO, a new edgy look for the traditional, old mans Ferrari. The front isnt perfect but the side profile and rear of the car are stunning. I definitely prefer it to the 612 that its replacing and think the design fits in nicely with the 599 and 458 models.

Also its 4WD? Ferrari are stepping out of their comfort zone with this one but I dont doubt them for a second, no one does it better.

A shame, I thought they were back on track style wise with the 458 Italia but from the photos above it just looks ugly. Perhaps the photos aren't doing it justice but it really doesn't look that nice.

    perfect car for skiing trips:)

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Different! Can't say it's a beauty but it has a certain "je ne sais quoi" about it :D

Much nicer than a Porsche Panamera and an Aston Martin Rapide put together though...

I kinda like shooting break style 2 door cars

    I like it.

Or maybe it might have to do with the fact that people saw the picture and are mentally competent enough to deduce that it IS in fact an ugly car?? :p

The vast majority of Ferraris I've seen would stop me dead in my tracks and almost make me a little emotional. This, not so much!

Besides, who wants three extra people and 450litres of their **** in your Ferrari?

The only thing I want in my Ferrari is my bleach blond silicon enhanced trophy bird!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,487 ✭✭✭alexmcred

Think it's a cracking looking car

    jasus

that looks like the got from the bonnet to the end of the door and just gave up.

    It's hideous

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,704 ✭✭✭Mr.David

    Very brash and tacky.

Ferrari really have lost the plot.

This is what a Ferrari should look like.......effortlessly stylish and timeless. Its all about curves in the right places, just like the female form ;)

What are you on about? People say they don't like it cos it cool to say?

People are saying it's ugly, cos it is appalling looking.

This noveau riche, bling image is exactly what I DON'T like about Ferrari. That and all the 'Ferrari-world' theme park crap.

I like the 458, 355, LOVE the 288GTO above all cars on the planet.
Love also the 60s models like the 250GTO above and the Lusso.

I like this FF. It looks great from most angles and is better than an SUV model. And I'm a big fan of AWD... I'd have one over a boring Aston (is it just me or does every model since the DB7 look identical?) any day...

Reminds me from the side of the 250 GTO breadvan. Designed by Bizzarrini.
