    Hey,

I'm looking for a laptop to bring travelling with me. I really just need it for the internet/skype/uploading photos. Obviously I dont have money to be throwing around so im looking for one that will be durable too. Any ideas?? Not willing to pay big money. Was looking at the Dell notebooks, as they seem to be the perfect size. Anyone know what they're like? Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks a million.. :D

I have a netbook, a samsung nc10, for travelling, its got a 10 inch screen and is very portable and has a good battery life (about 5 hours watching films), runs skype and everything fine (except for super high quality movies)

go to www.laptopmag.com and click on netbooks, they have a review of the top 5 netbooks of the year there, gives you an idea

If you want an actual laptop I would recommend something with an 11.6 inch screen (the perfect size if you ask me), or a 13.3 inch screen if you aren't on the move all the time, any bigger starts getting much less portable

Tell me your budget and I'll see what I can find, I'm in the market at the mo too

^^^ simply pick a budget and find the best battery netbook you can find. NC10 is a good choice.

I guess between €300 and €400. I went onto that website but had no luck in finding the review section. :( As long as it has the basic programmes I'll be happy enough. Just something with a decent battery life. Nothing too fancy..

here's a good laptop - 12" screen, light (1.45kg) and a bit more power that the average netbook with ion graphics and 2gb ram. also comes with windows 7 unlike most netbooks (xp or vista). only slightly bigger than a 10" netbook but more usable. you wouldn't notice the difference in your bag.

you'd get it for €300 delivered. £10 for 2 day delivery from uk.
lenovo (used to be ibm) make very good reliable laptops.
