    Just a quick one,

You know the deal with the tax n all that, well to use a Loading Bay you've to be a commercial vehicle, & many Traffic Wardens check the tax disk to see if you comply.

(We've an 06 Golf van that has glass rear side windows that are paneled further in, VAG job but can look like a car with tinted windows what with the glass, & 9 out of 10 times the wardens will go straight looking at the tax disk)

So if I were to decide that the van's good enough to drive 24/7, waiver the Good Only, does this mean I loose the perk of loading bays...? I'm sure there's other perks, it's to late at night for them to be springing to mind!

My guess is if you did get fine and were actually using loading bay officially then it would get thrown out should you bring it all way..hopefully the warden would have some cop on in the first place.

    😎

Parking bays are only available for active loading and unloading of goods, even if you have commercial tax.

I would imagine that if it's no longer classed / taxed as a goods vehicle, you'd have no right parking in a loading bay, as these are for goods vehicles only

It drives me mad the amount of people who park in loading bays when they are not loading. I regularly make deliveries in the city and have to park in a loading bay far from my destination because the closer loading bays are being used by vans not loading, jeeps or often cars.

People should consider how vans and trucks are supposed to load heavy goods.
