yeah that was me too, like when i was roped into going through 10 years of invoices in a big multinational. my most painful task to date, there were millions of the things from the us and europe...:(

although there was then when i was just back from maternity leave having to go over everything my replacement had done because she had done all the bank recs wrong. and she never did the intrastats either....pain in the arse if you know what im on about! i had to do her 6 months of work on a 3 day week along with all the other stuff i usually do and prepare as much as i could for when i finished up in 2 months time!

Was doing work experience for transition year in a hotel when i was 16, I was on my own stacking away chairs into a corner, when one stack unbalanced and fell forward straight through a huge glass window. I just walked away and started doing something else, never heard anything more about it:D.

I left the Bulmers tap on for about 30 seconds my first night behind a bar. Panicked and spilled the contents of the splash tray down the sink so I didn't get caught. Worked a charm B)

Knocked an angle grinder down and it smashed a brand new €500 philippe stark sink...covered it with plywood and strolled on

Trust me i have more to keep me awake at night than costing a hotel a few hundred quid.

Can't say I have, I don't f**k up in work, I am good at my job.
Nor would I work for a company that covers up finances or makes huge mistakes, I am better qualified than having to work for such a low grade company.

Having said that, if I DID know of huge mistakes being being made or covered up in my workplace, I wouldn't think it's a good move to be posting it here about it. But some have no common sense.

Had training in Scotland from Friday till Sunday for a new job i had just started. Ended up going the Aran islands instead for the weekend with a bunch of mates and pretended i had done the training on Monday. Didn't last long in the job as i eventually got the one i wanted elsewhere. But the flights and hotel that was paid for went to waste and they never seemed to notice.

The decimal point on a petrol pump wasn't clear, so I reset the pump and a customer got 36p more petrol than she paid for.

    True story.
