Yeah Dan I understand about the mattress thing, but if we burned Investor A are you saying investor B will consider us ''a much safer bet'' ?
We are right now considered unsafe by the bond marker precisely because we have a massive IMF/EU loan that everybody knows we can't pay.
Whatever our chances are with the bond markets, they're better without this deal.

Sin Fein should without question be welcomed into the democratic process. I cainly feel that Sin Fein have made huge strides in recent years and the deserve great credit for their part in the peace process.
FF are critical of everything Sin Fein do the reason for this is that FF are going to loose seats to Sin Fein candidates all over the Country.
FF fought strongly against Sin Fein haveing any part in Televised debates, this attitude amounts to dictatorship politics.
Mickey Mouse Martin is adamant that we should forget about the past especially when it comes to how FF destroyed the lives of every man, woman and child in this nation and at the same time the only reason they want to gag Sin Fein is because of their past. FF is full of two faced traitors to our nation.

As I said earlier, the reason SF are picking up FF seats is because SF are FF, same evolution same ideals and given 10 years and access to power they will be just as corrupt as they have the same respect for law as the FF founders.

The Bond market , if I remember rightly, would not give us any more money before this deal, that is why we went to the IMF/Eu. We were broke with no where to go and no mattress stuffed with cash. Correct ?

Why would I admit anything based on your unsourced fabrication?

    From http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/breaking/2010/1202/breaking43.html
Admit it, you're just making your numbers up.

Yeah, its a €14 Billion deficit just to run the country, not counting banks.

The Pension Reserve fund will last about a year as SF have earmarked the rest for other measures.

After a year we'd have to go back with the begging bowl to the IMF and markets.

The €14 Billion hole is still there, about 45% of taxes raised. The IMF will insist on the same €9 Billion cuts a year and no amount of kicking and screaming and blaming the bad man in Germany will help!

What do SF voters do then when Public Sector pay and Welfare have to be slashed and the Universal Social Charge that Gerry calls terrorism is doubled?

I can't see the pension reserve lasting a year, I could be wrong but the last I heard it stood at 4.8 billion, is that correct?

Maybe that's the figure after the bail out which is part of the IMF/EU deal? Not sure.

The boards.ie poll suggest that Labour, SF and a few like minded indepedents could form Ireland first ever government with a social conscience.
As if. (new) Labour will jump in with FG, won't they and help perpetuate the FF master plan.

That's because, for the craic, I'm voting for whacky independent candidates on the boards poll and in no way reflective of my real vote. You might as well suggest After Hours as being representative of general Irish opinion.

You could say the same about any opinion poll.
Wouldn't leave much to talk about in a politics forum if you discount all opinions immediately though, would it?

Attitudes are more important, weapons can be re-acquired.

Personally, I could never take any organisation seriously which has a background in murder, drug-running & crime in general. I have already voted today and Sinn Fein got no vote from me.
