    i know ciaran cannon is running in galway east he gets my first vote as his my neighbour who else is running in galway east(The home of eamon gilmore!!)
    im in dublin so wont see the canvassers

    But he also used to run the Prog Demos with Mary Harney. His associations with that lady may run against him.

    Paul Connaughton Jr (FG)
    Tom McHugh (FG)
    Ciaran Cannon (FG)
    Jimmy McClearn (FG)

    Colm Keaveney (Labour)
    I think Labour have a second candidate called Lorraine Higgins who was Vincent Browne last night (Based in Athenry apparently).

    Dont think there have been any other candidates announced. FF dont know what they are doing there yet anyway. The greens ran somebody last time, doubt they will again (It would be a real no hop for a green to get elected in that constituency). Presumably SF will run some one there.
