    Experts

I recenlty got a 1994 E220 Benz I am driving it no problem for 2 days now

I am trying to start it but it is not working... all the electrical seems working ok (lights, Radio,...etc) the only thing I noticed is a light near the petrol indicator.

    Any advice?

Put a few litres of petrol in the tank. The petrol gauge might be faulty.
    Happened to me before

Does it turn on the starter?

no, that is just the low petrol indicator. Same as the other lights light up when the ignition is on. Does the car turn over - is the starter motor working?
    How good is the battery?

That's the low fuel warning light - it'll go out when the car starts.:)

HAve a look under the oil cap for mayo. Get a compression test done, if these are all good give it a service. Then make sure all lines are connected and no rips in vaccuum tubes.
After than id imagine its a fuelling issue, not such what injection system merc use, possibly Bosch jetronic although Im not sure the exact one. Im sure somebody else will!

Don't let that fool you, the battery might not be strong enough to start the car, lights will be the last thing to go out with a flat battery. You need a voltmeter across the battery. Sorry, I don't know what voltage it should be at.

Depends on the current draw for the starter, i think for a 50A draw on a 12V Battery equates to a 7 V draw. But youl need at least 11.5 IMO as the battery voltage drops very fast when turning car over.

Its your battery, get a new one! Or bring it for a drive, but this may not solve the issue.
