Hi lads, Herself bought me a usp for christmas (god bless her) just want to know what upgrades are available for it in regards of hi-flow valves, recoil and hammer springs etc, also am looking for a suitable dropleg holster for it something along the lines of a serpa style maybe?

    Cheers.

Is it a full size or compact usp? Metal slide or plastc?

I have the KWA USP compact with NS2( I think) and metal slide. I think they should be the same apart from yours being regular USP and mine being the compact version.
And I think I read somewhere that they USP can take the spring from the Glocks and other earlier GBBs. The earlier model USPs' recoil wasn't great in some people's opinion compared to other GBBs so people suggested changing the spring.

You arent going to get much better performance than the system7 tbh... I wouldnt bother messing with it. Ive seen one with an advanced recoil spring, and it didnt feel any different. Plus, High flow valves will put you over the legal limit.

It will also be more reliable unmessed with.

For holsters, blackhawk do a USP Serapa, that will fit.

Well the recoil spring is flimsy as hell in it. its like something out of clicky top pen not too fussed on the valve, but a little more kick would be nice. Thanks for the info kitten.

I have 3 KSC USPs full size and compats, S7s and the old versions, never have any of them given any real trouble.

They are as good as USPs get out of the box. The full size USPs have a double recoil spring and damper setup, like what the real full size USPs have. In the real things they reduce felt recoil noticeably than what a chunky pistol of that size should have.

I don't know if it even has much if any of an effect in the airsoft world but I find the KSC USPs give a decent "kick" when fired. I wouldn't go tinkering around needlessly with a perfectly good GBB.
