BMW have rolled out a new car sharing program... u can rent cars by the hour... and it looks like most of the BMW range is there.. including the M's
    up to the M6.......

be nice to take one of them for a hour :)

sample price for a 5 series is €23.00 and hour...

Be nice if they brought it out over here

That's 552 yo yo's a day €3864 a week, I'm sure any BMW dealer in Ireland would allow you to take any car on a daily basis at those prices

I reckon you would ring them, ask and they would promptly say no, they dont allow that. End of conversation.

That Gocar idea is very worthwhile IMO. Sure they dont offer sports cars but for your ordinary guy/girl needing a car occasionally, its pretty handy.

    What a rip.

Lad in work with me in Germany has a monthly deal with Sixt, writes it off in his company expenses (he's a contractor) works out at 600 / month inc Tax/Insurance/Servicing etc.

Last car was a Merc E220 has a BMW 525D now

23 euro for a rent for an hour is good.... if you just need a car for an hour or two... and considering u could rent an M5 for an hour. makes it affordable for a lot of people

He doesn't have to take it for the month, you can rent per day you know ;)

Its works out as cheap as a lease at the moment.

There have been places you can rent a car by the hour for ages in Germany.

What were missing here is workshops you can rent by the hour like they have in Finland :)

i wonder how they'dd react if you brought it back after half an hour and told them you reached the mileage limit

It would be fairly sh*t in Germany to give you the car in a city, you'd spend 20 minutes just reaching an Autobahn, have a 10 minute burn and would then have to turn around to head back.

I work close to their base in Dublin city. If I ever see one of thes ecars up for auction i'd jump at it as they are never used. I am convinced they can't possibly be a commercial organisation.

Can't be. Sounds like an overpriced and inefficient way to rent a car.
