‘Minister, are you ashamed to be out drinking after cutting the minimum wage?’
He turned to the reporter and replied with a clear but curt: ‘F*** off.’

I don't want to get too happy, but any sliver of hope that this awful, awful government with zero mandate for what they have done to the country, will go today is very welcome news.

I wonder was this joke of an announcement from the jumping rats Dempsey, Ahern and Killeen part of FF strategy to bolster some of their juniors in time for the election - if so, yet another disgraceful party-first display from the FF organisation.

Batt O Keeffe, my god - rolled out on tv during the week to defend the great and mighty Cowen and now look. Confidence must have a different meaning in the FF lexicon.

    OUT. OUT. OUT.

FFS they get more money if they quit and walk away.....and they all know it !!

We need to change the constitution and change the way we govern the country ... new politicians... new rules... accountability for all.

if a person is entering politics they need to face the prospect that they cannot have a job held for them and they should pay for their own travel to and from work.

lets face it - if you were living in Roscommon and offered a job in Dublin - you would want to know you will be earning more (to cover the cost of travel expenses and life in Dublin).... if ministers/TD's have to commute to and from Dublin they should be paid a lesser salary and have their travel covered ...or paid a higher salary and pay their own travel/accomodation.

if you are earning over 100K a year you can bloody well afford your own travel to and from work...if you cant ....then get a real job.

its amazing how many of these "politicians" have little or no qualification in what area they work in.
