Hi to all C3 owners here.

2002 Citroen C3 both rear wheel brake cylinder failure
If your car is a 2002 model please check your brake fluid resevoir, if the fluid levels are down or you feel weakness on your handbrake get to a mechanic.

Both of my rear wheel cylinders had failed. The off side was leaking into the drum, the near side had no leak. There was no sponginess in the brake pedal. The NCT picked it up, it had gone for a pre test with dealer and they missed it.

    Good warning - thanks.

This does confirm my thoughts too.... pre-test = waste of money. I had a previous car serviced before the last NCT... failed NCT as oil level was way too high!

You would think a garage doing pre tests would check properly. You cannot trust anywhere to do a proper job.

It's statement like this which have so many good honest garages closing down. We're not all rip off merchants trying to cut corners every chance we get.

If your looking for quality customer service you need to deal directly with the owner of a garage ... as some employed mechanics in the bigger establishment really couldn't car less about your car as the their there for a pay check and nothing else.

If you cannot trust the main dealership that sold you the car new to do a pre NCT test and service then how could you trust anyone else.
