I came across this in one of the techy forums so thought Id post it here. Anyway it seems if you have an iPhone or iPad you cam get free access to Bitbuzz WiFi even if you are not an O2or 3 customer, who supposedly get free access bundled with their iPhone accounts. To get free access simply download the 3 app from the Bitbuzz site. Run the App while connected to a non Bitbuzz network, and register with any mobile number.
So in my case I have an iPad with a vodafone sim, and the number I used to register was my wifes meteor mobile number. Totally unsecure.

i tried using that bitbuzz thing the other day in the square tallaght. horrible. it kept kicking my ip4 off, could not connect to the internet, everytime i had to restart to get my wifi working again. piece of c**p wifi deal tbh. and im on 3, and supposedly the app says im registered to use it.

    Might've been that specific one.

Have used them a bit over last couple of weeks in various places. No problems at all

I'm an O2 customer (no iPhone) and have an iTouch, are ye saying that I can register for this service and then use the Bitbuzz hotspots for free? I don't remember seeing anything about this on the O2 website, is it supposed to be only for O2 iPhone customers?

Just got it on appstore and signed up. Only took a few moments and all they need is a phone number.

Maybe at some future point it will be noticed and the account disabled but still.... Must try it out :D
