G&G make a load of different M4 and M16 variants. Some high end and others budget end. The internals are still all tip top. It's the externals that will set them apart, the cheaper M4s and M16 will have polymer receivers where as the high end will have all metal receivers.

Their M14 is the best airsoft M14 AEG on the market. There is about 6 versions of it if you look on the G&G site.

Their SCAR is good but the VFC SCAR is arguably a better gun (having owned both myself at different times I'd take the VFC one). Still a great gun, nothing bad about it really, just fiddly to strip down to work on compared to the VFC and Ares SCARs.

The G&G Top Tech T418 (HK416) is a high ender well worth a look too.

Other G&G stuff like their UMP is the best on the market, a great solid performer and great polymer externals. All they have to contend with is the DE and Ares versions though.

If you like the look of them the G2010s (F2000s) are fantastic. Great performance and feels great to hold. Getting mags to fit in the mag well can be a pain, so far what work for me are G&G, TM and MAG brand mags. My G&Ps and STAR/Ares won't.

What I plan on picking up myself this year sometime are the G&G SG range. The SG550/552 and 553. Something different to look at on the field than the usual Armalite. They take their own type of mag but they are hard enough to find and you can't bolt on as many accessories as you can to your typical Armalite. I'd still consider one though.

Anything G&G though will be a great performer, the only ones that spring to mind with issues are the L85A1 and A2, the A1 is hardly sold anymore and the A2 has a small lock up issue that happens when they are configured to fire at our power limit.

Ditto what CC said. I've got the Top Tech T4-18 and it's never let me down. I've also owned the GR300 & CQB-S and they were both solid AEGs.

The G&G M14 EBR is a stunning piece of kit and despite its size it is (just about) light enough to skirmish with. Definitely on the wishlist.

Don't let the fact that the Raider is a 'budget' G&G worry you, it's a solid piece of kit and incredible value for money.

As good as the G&G M14 is - and it's really good - I'd rate the TM one above all others. There may not be the same number of variants, and the body might not be as detailed, but the performance is astonishing.
It's one of the few rifles that genuinely worried me when I saw someone with it in a game. One of the farthest reaching and most accurate AEG's I've come across.

I just bought one of these recently and I could not be happier with it. It is an absolutely beautiful piece of kit - a bit heavy so if you're a little fella I would not recommend it. It's the fourth AEG I have bought and it is my favourite by a long shot.

I think I paid €380ish about 15 months ago, that's pretty standard for a high-end AEG. I got mine in Eirsoft.

According to the TopTech website weights 2908grams http://toptech-airsoft.com/airsoftgun/418series/418.php?lang=en

so. If you had a choice between the scar and the 300 what would you get ? I'm in a bit of a dilema at the moment.

    Hey mate
I have owned both of these, and they are as good as each other in my opinion.
I think it comes down to which you prefer the look off??
I think the G&G Scar is the more modern looking of the two.
    Good luck with your decision.:)

Will have to pay a visit to the good folk at SG Airsoft.

    Excellent choice.
The G&G Scar is a very nice piece.
I do wonder why I ever parted with mine.:o

I'm the wrong person to ask about the SCAR as I'm not keen on the look. Both are excellent AEGs but the SCAR offers more room to personalise as it has more rail space to add toys accessories. The GR300 is a gorgeous-looking gun but part of the reason for that is its minimalist design, you only get a small section of rail on the upper receiver and the handguard is specific to this gun so you won't be able to swap it out unless you change the whole front end and if you do that it's not a GR300 any more, it's just another M4 variant.

They will both have almost identical internals, the only thing you have to worry about is which one you prefer the look of.

I have 3 G&Gs myself they are the Raider, Scar L and the EBR. Poeple say the Raider is a low end A.E.G but I can tell you now that it performs just ad good as both my hight end riffles. Your not really going to go wrong with any of the G&G range so as mark says it's really just what you like the look of. One thing I will say is it's a bit of a downside that most M14 Mags will not fit the EBR so after forking out €500+ for it you have go buy mags from G&G at €25+ but apart from that it is a stunning A.E.G. A bit heavy but not that bad as I wouldn't be the biggest lad and I manage fine but if your looking for hight end would highly recommend the EBR or the Scar:D

You might be a review on it soon:P

I have a G&G SCAR L and would happily swap it for a GR300. When the stock is folded the 300 becomes a very compact and maneuverable gun. The SCAR has a folding stock as well but the gun is still chunky. When folded, the stock sometimes unhinges itself from the reciever and just waves back and forth. You'd have to shake the gun hard to make it happen but it does happen and it is annoying. Besides frequent folding of stock is not recommended as the wires connecting the battery to the gearbox get snapped when unfolding the stock.

You don't get much rail estate on GR300, but you can expand it you really want to. You also get more "metal" on the LR :)

interesting. i hadn't considered the wires snapping as an issue. glad you brought it up !
i really like the look of both units. the Gr300 is dearer even though its older which is a bit weird.

The wire gets pinched. So far only a bit of insulation got chipped it's still a long way to reach the wire itself. But it's something to be aware of.

The G&G M14 mags are quite expensive alright - the cheapest I could find them was here http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Magazines_G_G_AEG_Std_G_G_80rds_Magazine_for_M14.htm but the quality of them is fantastic. Very solid, rubberised metal. Best quality mags I have laid my hands on.
And I look at it this way - I just spent a fortune on this EBR which I love dearly so I don't want to put anything but the best mags in to her.
