I have a holstein fr stock bull to sell this spring, just wondering do you think there is a demand for stock bulls or should I just send him to factory?

    irp midlands prince

    ai bulls

had none omans last year hairy breiz etc
ill have 6/7 next year but unfortunately its now that we need non omans

if your using stock bulls oman is still an option because 90% of cows will be non oman. only 1000 oman daughters in ireland

It depends on his temperament, if he is anyway nasty don’t sell him for breeding, Holsteins only get worse

in last weeks journal- week ending 14 january , there is an ncbc article on the holstein friesian ad page that has around 10 of the top ebi bulls and it tells you if they are related to oman or not... i cut it out and hung it up , could be useful for a few of ye;)

There are alot alright but Oman himself was priced out of alot of people budgets so his sons have usage, other high EBI alternative are the Ramos sons KXV, RDO and RNM, some Durham sons with good ebi, WDZ, and even some new Goldwyn sons with good figures and good type, there are others and of course you have British Frisians and NZ bulls to spice things up.

i bought an oman stock bull 3 years ago , had to get rid of him last year as he turned wicked , i bought a british friesian bull instead and am awaiting his calves just to get a bit of meat back into the herd , still use hol/fr ai , so if they get a knock they will have something to fall back on
