Vincent Browne as Father Jack

I don't know if anybody saw VB interviewing FF TDs for TV 3 after the confidence vote last night but it was very amusing.

He snorted and snuffled indignantly through the interviews with his mad hair blowing in the wind which reminded me of Father Jack in the last great Irish sit com.

Ursula Halligan, for all his faults, is coherent outside the studio. Half of the time I couldn't understand a word Vincent was saying.

    But maybe that's no harm....

Vincent Brown has done this country a great service over many years, and continues to do so, in holding politicians to account. To make personal remarks about who he might remind you of doesn't really do him, or you, much credit. I remember him with Haughey and he did so much to highlight that mans corruption as a TD and Taoiseach.

    ....
There's much to admire in Vincent Browne but he's much better in studio than on the hoof as he was last night.
