I got a brillant cleaner for my boyfriends boots and they were like new after.
Got it in tesco its called Punch active cleaner for suede, nubuck &fabric cleaner its about €3.80.
Its like a mousse, just dampen boot spray it on,i nearly died when i seen it first but it's grand and then rub the boot and wipe it off and leave the boot to dry i took a hair dryer to it because i was worried how they changed colour because they were wet but they came out perfect.

    Get a suede brush.
Let any mud dry compleatly then simply brush it off.

For other stains like salt or oil then you can try steaming them. Hold them over a boiling kettle and then DAB at the stain with a clean cloth. Always use clean parts of the cloth or you risk spreading the stain rather then removing it.
Let them dry naturally (i.e not on or under a heater) and finally brush with the wire brush them to raise the nap of the nubuck.
Suede brushes are available anywhere that sells shoe polish.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.
