what's with the oil rigs in Dun Laoghaire

spotted two oil rigs just outside the harbour anyone know more about them? have they struck oil? :eek:

test drilling for expansion of the water treatment pipe network.

further out they were also sampling cores to see if the seabed was stable enough for wind turbines but not sure if that still going on.
