This could be in the wrong place for this thread.

I injuried my back over 12 months ago and the Consultant told me that he doesn't like to operate unless its essential and he was of the view that it would correct itself but could take a year or two - I have gone for physio and I go swimming and do like exercise. I am thinking of going to see an osteopath but not 100% sure what they do and was wondering if anyone has been to one due to a back injury.

no one can give medical advice on here, you should go to a GP for that kind of advice.

But my 2 cents, I went to an osteopath for a lower back injury and then to a physical therapist.

Osteopath 8 sessions and not much change at all.

Physical therapist 3 sessions and fixed.

thanks, oh not looking for medical advise, just wanted to know if anyone was at an osteopath and what they thought. I might make an appointment with one and see how it goes, sorry to ask but what exactly did she/he do to you, I guess I just wear loose clothes i.e. a tracksuit.

I have gone to an osteopath and had great results.
I know people who went to physios with no results at all but went to the same osteopath and have similar results to me.

You can have good physios and bad ones.
    Same as Osteopaths.
    Or doctors.
    Or taxi drivers.
    Or coffee makers.
