The only issue i have is Chris Colfer...wtf????
Nice to see Boardwalk grab two awards, both well deserved. HBO has cleaned up this year!
I really must try check out that Carlos mini series, well done Jane Lynch + Jim Parsons!

    Glee, ugh.

Glee is WAY overhyped and over commercial now, while i think Lynch deserved the nod Glee as a show winning is pants, imo. BUT...if you asked me the same question based on the first 13 eps. i
d say it deserved every award going, but the back 9 + S2...meh.

I'm still BAFFLED by Piper Perabo.....who is she shagging?

To hear the reports on Today FM this morning you'd swear Glee wiped the boards with awards, nice to see that was not the case. I haven't seen Boardwalk Empire yet, planning on catching up when Sky Atlantic starts. Also is this the second win for Jim Parsons? Not a fan of TBBT, find Parsons' character irritating but I guess if he's not like that in real life, he deserves an award!

I'm delighted Katey Sagal and Laura Linney won.

To be fair Chris Colfer has been doing amazing this season of Glee so it was deserved imo

God.. I'm typically the first to say the Emmys get it all wrong - but they got it spectacularly wrong this year!

What did they get wrong? "Boardwalk Empire" deserved its awards IMO. Jane Lynch deserved win as is Katey Segal.
"Glee" did NOT deserve to win, especially against "Modern Family". Chris Colfer has done well this year, so I won't begrudge that either.
Don't know if Laura Linney deserved it - would've given to Toni Collette.

Community should not only have been nominated for best comedy, it should have won (with Modern Family second and 30 Rock third).
Eric Stonestreet is a better gay character than Chris Colfer (despite being gay for pay)

Well, firstly 'Boardwalk Empire' deserved everything it got without question.

Now I'm a big fan of Jane Lynch but she's barely been a character in 'Glee' this season. I can only assume the piss-poor selection of nominees alongside her won it for her. Chris Colfer has been good in 'Glee' this year, but Eric Stonestreet continues to get better and better in 'Modern Family'.

And as for 'Glee' winning that Television Series - Comedy Or Musical? That's laughable.. it's been growing increasingly mediocre as it goes on!

And I do think Idris Elba was fantastic in 'Luther'.

To be fair, I don't particularly have a problem with the winners. It's some of the dreadful nominees - Scott Caan for Hawaii Five-0? Seriously?!

He's the only other I'd have considered. I just gave it to Colfer based on how he did the bullying storyline. Stonestreet to win next year!

Maybe it's 'coz it straddles both? I don't know. "Modern Family" of course should have won and, if you disagree basquille, you should hand in your resignation now.

Oh I agree with that. Some very lazy choices too - is there just an automatic slot reserved for Hugh Laurie at this point?
Also "Dexter"'s fifth season deserved no nomination nor did "The Walking Dead".

Nonsense - the exact same thing happened last year..

    http://www.smh.com.au/news/entertainment/film/2010/01/19/1263663065390.html
    http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2602245/ricky_gervais_terrible_as_host_of_2010.html?cat=9

.. and yet he was invited back this year to present!

The guy could insult every religious group, and come off unscathed right now. He's a comedian, and makes jokes that cut close-to-the-bone, but his popularity and "pull" will not suffer due to a couple of celebs getting upset.

Good to see Katey Sagal getting some recognition for Sons of Anarchy. The way she handled the
    gang rape
    storyline deserves some kudos.
