If anyone could assist me transferring music from 1 iTunes to another I would really appreciate it.

Basically, I had a laptop with iTunes on it and bought a whole load of songs from the iTunes Store. The laptop has since been broken and replaced. I've installed iTunes again and would love to get my music back! I authourised my new laptop using my Account with iTunes thinking that would transfer my bought music over to this laptop. Is there another step(s) I should do, or am I dreaming that even doing this is possible!!!

You have to download again it doesn't automatically do it.
It should be free to do so

You don't automatically get to re-download songs you purchased from iTunes for free (strange, but that's how it is). The would normally expect you to pay for them again.

However, if you call Apple Support and plead your case they almost always will flick the switch and let you redownload the items from your purchase history for free.

Crazy from a customer perspective, but that's how they do it at Apple.

Is it possible to swap music on iTunes from one laptop to another in the same household?

I never said automatically, and wasn't implying. You have to contact support, prob hoping to make a few extra from people that don't know any better

Yeh, just make sure you have the latest verion of itunes on both and they're both on the same network.

Enable homesharing in itunes and sign in with the same account. You should be able to see the other persons laptop in itunes and transfer over any music.
