Is there a bit of show breeding in the tan cocker? Got the long ears & look of the it. He/she any good??
The black lad not so much but a bit also.
I know a few owners of working cockers & they have more of the small springer look...

I have a cocker pup ordered. I have always had springers and was offered the chance of getting a cocker pup and have decided to take it. Only about 10 days old so will be a while yet but that suits me grand. Really looking forward to working with another breed.

I know what you are saying epointer, some cockers that were bred with show dogs ended up with ears so long they could not work properly. They would get completely tangled up in cover. Those are fine dogs and obviously have no bother getting the job done.;)
