locking window onscreen

I gave (well sold) my old macbook to my parents and my mother particularly is having a few small problems with it.

I already fixed some of them, as its easier than teaching as she doesnt need to know the reasons just use the computer.

She seems to sometimes drag the windows offscreen, partly offscreen and doesnt drag them back.

Is there anyway to not allow windows to move off of the edge?

You sold your old laptop to your own mother.... Fairly tight of you, would you not agree??

    Well not really sold.
They were looking for a laptop so I recommended getting a base Dell.
But my dad asked if I would be interested in getting a new laptop and I said that the one I had is perfect plus I cant afford it atm.
so he asked if they would take mine and fund the price difference for a macbook pro as they knew that if the laptop was still doing me perfectly it was more than enough for them and would cause them much less hassle than even a 500 euro dell/hp etc.

    Wholly off topic....

Any actual help and not idle criticism about how stingy i supposedly am :D

Can you show her how to do the F3 / Expose thingy (show all open windows, miniaturised, against desktop background)?

Tried to - but I have spaces and exposé disabled now along with dashboard and I have the dock locked and the windows properly maximized windows style.

So basically make it as comfortable for them in terms of general use as they like most people dont care for them annoyances.

You have to Enable spaces, but you cannot disable Expose AFAIK.

You can reassign various Function keys for Expose but F3 and the Fn + F9 / F10 / F11 (or reassigned equivalents) work all the time.

It seems a pity the the very piece of functionality that would help relieve her apparent UI problems (and distingueshes a superior OS from mere Windoze ;) ) isn't enabled for her.

Not disabled no, but she doesnt use the f3 or whatever key so pretty much disabled.

Exposé wont fix this issue - it will just so all windows and then center on the one you click if thats dragged mostly off screen it stays where it is just focused.
