The fastest cars on boards?

This got me thinking who owns the fastest, its certainly not an Octavia VRS:p

Isn't there a girl around here with a Diablo? Any E60 M5 owners? i think Msporty has an RS4? Im bored.....

There is some very fast metal around these parts. A current M5 & monaro spring to mind. Have read about people talking about a lambo but haven't seen it myself
Msporty has (did have?) a RS4 & it wasn't a TDI!

I'm the proud owner of an e46 m3.

The car can certainly move but I'm sure there are a few around here with faster.

BHP wise I would guess its the e60 M5 although the modified forum might have some crazy modified power.

But who knows. Some posters dad has a 535d so watch out and also the large boot on wheels that is the VRS anyone who would want more power than that is barking. I am sure there are guys with track cars that are super rapid.

Had a remapped Bmw 535D up to a few months ago. (was as i was told close to 300bhp) Dont know the top speed cause i ran out of balls. In a miserable 520D now.

I drive an e60 M5 (there is also another one on here). My previous car was a 535d but the wife drives that now as it was a bit slow...:D......only joking of course, the 535d is plenty fast but I just needed some noise!

Anyway how do you define fast? Top speed ? Then give most German marques are limited there are probably a number of faster cars here. 0-60 times? I'm sure there are faster than the M5 floating around.

Ok so i dont have it now but...
Had a WRX STi which was tuned to 340ish....flat out it did 160 roughly and 0-60 in about 4 seconds flat.
That was back in 05.

I've gotten my own to 161mph. No doubt there's much faster here.

I'd love to know what the blue monaro can do! Can't remember who has it though.

Also, a de-limited E60 M5 would blow most of us away!

That would be me, I dont think its a particularly fast car, its too heavy!

0-60 is around 6 seconds which is not particualrly mind blowing, it says the top speed of the car is 164 mph, I have had it showing 168 on the sat nav with 300 rpm left on before limit in 6th gear. Too scary to be enjoyable though, doesnt feel as planted abouve 120 as my old car did.

Yep, hopefully should be changing to an RS6 in the next month or so.

Sorry to hear you're getting rid of the Monaro but a big +1 on the RS6. Where in hell you manage to get her up to 168!?! :eek::eek::eek:

Fastest I ever had a car up to was 140mph about 10 years back in a 323 in the middle of the night on the M50. Wouldn't have the nerve to do that sort of speed anymore!

There's that chap too with the CL500, it would probably be in the top 20. M5 takes a fair bit of beating.

Just fast cars in general, for example an M5 is fast, a Civic is not. Not just top speed because then we would have probably one car, not just 0 - 60 or track times.
Also I think there is an M3 csl owner. Fast car all round.

BMWs limiter generally only works in the top gear though you generally need the last gear to get to the highest speed gearing wise anyhow.

My near-20 year old 850CSi, which was designed as "fast top speed" car more than fast accelerator will blip 301kph once delimited.

Daylight run (not mine obviously), so you can at least see what 300kph looks like (tunnel vision).

My other car, a D2 Audi S8, prolly only gets to 265kph when delimited.



A e60 M5 (ie Bazmans car!) will apparently do 330kph however when delimited:

EDIT: A BMW M6 (same V10 engine as the e60 M5) will do 340kph due to lower stance and Aero differences.

To me thats a stupid logic :rolleyes: hence the reason i asked, a Honda Civic EK9 type r is faster around the Nurburging than an AMG E55, so yes it is a fast car, just not in every aspect. I was just asking for you to clarify what you were looking for

Well its fast compared to a Micra etc but not fast compared to some of the cars mentioned here. Maybe I should edit that post to Golf instead of Civic:rolleyes:

On a course like mondello, a type R civic would be very hard to beat, you'd prob need to set off a bit earlier in the morning to get there though! :pac::pac::D

im not taking it personal in the slightest, i just mean some cars are fast in a straight line some on track, the reason i used the nurburgring analergy is the E55 AMG would be considered a fast car but its not faster round the track than an EK9. Speed is relative, i just wanted to see what you meant by your original post, i didnt want to talk about civics
