Flat Roof Insulation Finish

    Hi everyone,

Our build is progressing slowly and we'd now appreciate some more assistance please.

We're seeking some advice on insulating a 150 mm hollow core concrete slab topped with 75 mm reinforced screed. The slab measures 8m wide by 7m long and forms part of the flat roof of a new build extension. A small courtyard 3m by 2m is in the south eastern corner of this, creating a light box between the existing house and the extension. Overhead on the south western side is a bedroom measuring 4.5m wide by 5m long. The bedroom has a standard pitch tile roof.

We'd be grateful for some advice and approximate costs on how to best insulate and finish the area of the slab that is exposed to the elements and acting as the roof for the ground floor part of the extension. The slab needs to be finished both inside and out (i.e. both roof and ceiling).

    Thanks in advance,

    Mr & Mrs Bicycle :o)
