Garda Vetting Question

    Hi folks,
I am awaiting results of garda vetting but need some advice.
I am starting work in a health care setting for 3 weeks and although my vetting is not back they have said a garda reference will do just to have on file. What I am wondering is, what is supposed to be disclosed on the vetting form. i have a conviction for drink driving from a few years ago (stupidly thought drink would be out of my system 12 hours later on my way to work one morning) and i disclosed that. another time myself and 3friends found ourselves in court for drunk and disorderly however the judge let us off with a donation to the court poor box (the solicitor had asked for this result as we were in jobs in healthcare that could be affected by a fine or whatever) i did not write this on my vetting as when i went to my local garda station to find out the date of my drink driving, the garda there told me that all i would need to put on the vetting was the drink driving conviction. now i am worried that my vetting will come back with more than just the drink driving and that my 3weeks work will be in jeopardy. the care setting never asked about and disclosure on my vetting i just told them i am still awaiting return of same. can someone who is in the know please shed some light. no assumptions, just facts if you can please as i start monday. thanks all, sean.

I'm pretty sure its only convictions that will end up on your vetting form. It sounds like you were not convicted of anything when you made the donation for the public order offence.

I'll find out for sure but I'm 95% sure thats the case.

im almost sure there wasnt a probation act whatever that is because
the solicitor told us that the outcome meant it was as though we had never been in court.
she told the judge it would affect our jobs, the judge said on the basis there was dim chance of re-offending that a donation to the court poor box would be fine.
i just thought that since it would be on the garda file that it would be put down on the vetting results.
i really really hope that it doesnt be added to the results as to be honest we were all blind drunk, which is no excuse but it wouldnt be a true reflection of mine or my friends characters.
