Help with small but effective changes

    Hi,
I'm 39, 6ft and 13 stone. My body has not changed since I was 18 except for a bit of a belly.

I have tried new regimes in the past but have never stuck to them for a variety of reasons so I am looking for some small but effective changes.

What I hope to achieve is to put on some weight while increasing my general level of fitness while also bulking up a little, I'm not looking for a gym body.

I enjoy running so have just got back into a 20 minute run two to three times a week, as my fitness improves I will increase this gradually. The problem with running is that I lose weight and to counteract this it has been suggested that I add a course of pasta and a pint of milk to my daily diet. Is this effective ?

I have no interest in going to the gym so I am looking for suggestions for bulking up a little at home. I especially want to work on my legs as my missus says she wants them, not good :)

I also just tried to do 50 press ups and only got half way !!

I spend about 40 hours a week driving and the rest at a desk.

Ok so I am looking for some suggestions in the context of the above, any would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

start with something simple like squats, lunges, press ups, rows, skipping and a core stability exercise and build up from there e.g. using a heavier kettlebell/weight, chin ups, weighted press ups etc

Do all of this and then consider getting some simple equipment that can help get you started and all can be done in a really short time from home -

Hope that helps get you started
