Just wondering!! In my local paper this week, there are two different ads for Callanetics classes.

The last I heard of it was in the 80s when I remember giggling over a demo on morning TV by some American women of a certain age in very shiny lycra bodysuits!! Having said that though, I do remember many a lot of v positive feedback on the 'method' in the day but then it seemed to disappear as quickly as it arrived.

Would be interested to hear if anybody has tried it and can comment either way.

Yeah its been decided by the retro fashion council that 80's style aerobics, lycra, spandex and headbands, is back in. Loads of places have been offering classes here in london so its probably just caught up in dublin

Every trend in the fitness industry happens in cycles. The next generation won't have heard of what's been popular over the last 10-15 years so it's easy to market it to them.

It won't be long until Jane Fonda-style aerobics and step classes are the latest trend....again!

oooohhh jesus. does fashion dictate the chemistry of our bodies and the fundamental laws of thermodynamics? what the actual **** does it matter if this **** or that **** coming back into fashion?

a comment either way? one right down the middle: if you wanna stop being fat- eat less crap and exercise more. if you wanna be a herculean mother****er eat ****loads and lift ****loads.
