    Hi Sherdo

I was looking for a half marathon around that time as well and found one in Kinvara, Galway.

    http://www.rockandroad.ie/

It's on on the 5th of March.

    Hope that helps.

(I have no links to this event)

Larne in mid March, £15. Did it last year and would put many races to shame down here on so many levels.

Omagh is usually at the end of March/start of April.

This is a charity event, probably no chip timing a lot of walkers but there will be a good amount of Clare crusaders running the half.

Anything in or around Dublin that anybody know of?

Like the sound of the Debra run down in Wicklow but the fact that you have to rasie €50 is a bit much....dont like asking people for money for doing any type of race in all honesty, although would be willing to pay more than the € entry!

Anyone know if the Aran Islands half is on in April this year?
    Or on at all?

I am doing Conn Ultra and (hopefully) Antwerp marathon the week after and somebody mentioned that the Aran half was usually on the last weekend in April. I started thinking that they would make a nice trio of distances for the 3 weeks.

However I can't find a site for the Aran half. The AerAran website has a link but that is from 2009. Is it still run?
