Peugeot 407 Sat Nav (RT3) Issue

    Hi,

I am having an issue with the satnav on my 407. I dont know whne it started as I have only checked it at the weekend. Basically the maps are very slow to update on the screen and therefore the navigation guidance is lost. For example, if I am driving along a stretch of road, the map will only refresh every 3 or 4 miles. This seems dependant on time rather than distance though. If I eject the CD I can see the coordinates on screen changing immediately, so it doesnt seem to be a problem with the GPS receiver. I have also tried a different map CD but this is happening with that also.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

I got this sorted at the weekend so just posting the cause.

The car had another fault, i.e. a faulty ABS sensor. When this was replaced the satnav maps were updating instantly when the car was in motion. It must be the case that the ABS sensor was constantly sending the fault report to the computer when the car was in motion. This was obviously overwhelming the RT3 unit and causing the lag in the map refreshes.
