No cold in shower

The shower in our ensuite no longer has COLD water. It's a conventional shower, not electric or anything. That's started with the water restrictions of course so my husband's been trying to get rid of the airlock by unscrewing the head, placing his hand over it and trying to force it back out. Although it's worked in the past when other water restrictions were on, no joy this time, can't get the cold water out.

Any suggestions? We have both cold and hot water in the sink and cistern, it's just the cold in this shower that's not working.

    Thank you.

take the shower head off the hose leave it open on cold and drop the hose to the floor for half an hour.

Outside that. with the valve open blow into the hose then suck on it...

very unusual for cold to be blocked... Wonder if its grit in the tank.

Thank you, there's no hose, just a head but we'll remove the head and try blow into it see does that make a difference.

might not work as the head needs to be lower than the valve to clear the airlock

Got the plumber to look at the shower, it was an airlock like we suspected. He managed to clear the airlock with a pipe by sucking on it but to secure the pipe he put plumber's tape + a fixing we didn't have that's why it wasn't working when we were trying to do it ourselves. Now that we saw him do it, it seems easy, he left us the pipe and fixing in case it happens again. Hope this helps you random10. Tx for your help.
