Storm Wormwood is a great tune, but the video is pretty ropey tbh.

Sounds like a good awards ceremony but I don't think Vanity Fair covered it! ;)

Was anyone at it last night? State review says the MC Gareth Stack wasn't much good.

    Yeah, I was there.
Really good night, credit to the main 4 people and all the others who helped out with it.
A lot of work went into it I'm sure.

Stack was appalling,as the review will testify...

Lookign forward to seeing this blossom.

Twitter last night seemed to indicate he was slagging a lot of people, I suppose it wasn't funny enough to get away with.

I left the room at one stage because I simply had enough. If your entire gig is built upon poking fun at the audience then you better do it with good natured humour. He didn't manage this. Instead, what we had was a tediously negative, smug and mocking routine that barely raised a snigger.
Marge: I don't think it's a good idea to humiliate your boss on his
    birthday.

Lisa: Actually, Mom, a tweaking of Mr. Burns' foibles if done with the
greatest of care could earn Dad a special place in the old man's
    heart.

Homer: Well, I also do a delightful impression of him. [laughs] I paint
a frowny face on my butt and pull down my pants!

Anyway, while some tweaks are needed for the next time around (an audiovisual element and some bespoke award trophies), it was a really good attempt for a first try. I particularly enjoyed the nachos.

Were you there too Fanny?! Mad. I was the short photographer there.
Really enjoyed the night myself. But as was said, Stack wasn't everyones cuppa tay. It's one thing Ricky Gervais slagging off multi-millionaires, it's another thing altogether slagging off people with part-time jobs who are actually in debt making albums.

The Cast of Cheers did really well though. Deservedly so, imo.

Yeah, I was there. Somebody asked to take my photo. Perhaps that was you, the hairy fella in the leather jacket :pac:
