    I have a 1.6 99 ford focus was gonna swap it for a passat same year and litre? Which is a better car?

    OP what are your requirements? Focus and Passat are very different cars. Budget also?

    Just need a family car with lots of space as travel to sligo regularly (every two monnths or so). Not a question of money was gonna straight swap one for the other?:D

    In that case keep what you have. Better the devil you know.

    I'd not change for a Passat 1.6 petrol

    I'd drive the passat anyday over the focus, ford are very heavy on juice and its well known

    In fairness I have a 1.6 petrol and she's tough enough on juice. But hey its way better than the passat, if you want a bigger car get a mondeo. Bullet proof in most area's.
