I just returned home today and noticed the red alarm led on my hkc securewatch panel was lit to signal the alarm had been triggered by a PIR in the livingroom while I was out. A bird had got down the chimney and was still in the room when I got home (dont know how as there is a cage on the chimney but thats for another forum perhaps!)

I then checked the log to find out there were at least 100 activations since I left the house about 7 hrs earlier! I dont understand why as I had the panel set to rearm 3 times only, "rearm always" was also set to off.

The other part that doesnt make sense is that I had the alarm bells set to ring for 15 minutes when triggered, while according to the panel the activations logged were only seperated by between 1 and 12 minutes?

Once the alarm is activated the system will continue to log all activations regardless of the bell cut out.
After the 3 rearms the bells cut out as programmed but the system itself is still in an armed state & will log the events .
