As im sure it is with a lot of people one side of my body is stronger than the other.
When i was younger i used to bowl and my right arm is a lot stronger then my left. I used to bowl with a 16lbs ball 5 days a week(we are talking about 250 balls a day) so there is a big difference in strength.
is it just a matter of doing more with my left arm in the gym to try balance the strength? I have a feeling it is but just wanted to check any way

Knew a girl like that in college.

My view would be that you shouldn't look to isolate the other arm to bring it up. You'd be best off concentrating on "full body" movements, ones that utilise multiple joints or lots of different muscles at the one time.

This would include the usual squats, benches, deadlifts, overhead press, cleans. Move a bar in as many ways as possible basically.

The difference in strength from bowling wouldn't just be your arm, your hips, lower back, glutes etc would have all been stronger on one side. There's no point in doing bicep and tricep work on your left arm if you see what I mean. It's also pointless to try and train one side of the body. Try to use as much of it as possible at one time.
