    Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any plans to actually open this road.
It appears to be built just passed St George's School on Naul Road but not complete.
Seems madness to bring traffic all the way down and back up through Moylaragh if this road could be used.

    Any updates would be welcome.
    Thanks

    Never.

REFUSE permission for the continuation from Moylaragh Gardens in a southerly direction to connect to the Naul Road/Stephenstown link recently approved under art V111 of the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001 based on the following reasons and considerations:

It is considered that the proposed connection from Moylaragh Gardens southwards to the Naul Road/Stephenstown Link Road would endanger public safety by reason of traffic hazard because of the limited capacity of the road and the existing residential development on the road frontage along Moylaragh Gardens/ Barons Hall Park. The link would give rise to unacceptable volumes of traffic on this residential street, which would seriously injure the amenities of residential property in the vicinity and would be contrary to the proper planning and sustainable development of the area.

Plans for a new route for this road are on display and an application is with FCC.

One would imagine the combination of this and the other works going on at the moment will make a significant different to inbound traffic.

    http://www.balbriggan.info/public_display_of_proposed_castlemill_link_road_oct12.shtml

The proposed works will comprise of the following: 1. The provision of a new link road connecting the Naul Road (R122) at St Georges National School to Moylaragh Road adjacent to Balbriggan Educate Together National School, Balbriggan with a high quality transport link parallel to the western boundary of Moylaragh Estate. 2. The new link road will provide a high quality 6.5m wide standard single carriageway from the R122 to Moylaragh Road. 3. Construction of new footpaths and cycle tracks both sides of the new link road. 4. New junction arrangement at the entrance to Hampton Gardens estate and provision for a new access road to service zoned lands to the west of the new link road. 5. New junction opposite Moylaragh Gardens to service zoned lands to the west of the new link road. 6. Enhanced planted boundary treatment between Moylaragh Estate and the new link road and appropriate boundary treatment to zoned lands to the west of the link road. 7. Retention of the existing connecting road from Moylaragh Road to the Castlemill link road at the Balbriggan Educate Together National School. 8. Retention of the existing connection road from Moylaragh Road to Barn Hall Rise at Castle Mill Shopping Centre. 9. Removal of the existing temporary connecting road between Moylaragh Gardens and Moylaragh Crescent
