So with the Cold weather recently, I believe someone pulled open my back door while it was frozen and have dislodged the door seal.

The boot also has something has a similar issue.

Whats the best thing to fix this ? Was thinking Silicone sealant but it might look a bit messy, the car is black so black sealant isnt hard to come by.

The seal basically just isnt sticking the body and needs something re-applied to hold it in place

Those seals usually sit in a groove or else have little clips holding them in.

If its the groove, it's a simple matter of reseating the seal in it and it should be fine.

If its clips and they are broken, they should be able to be got from a garage or motor factors.

IMO silicone sealant wont work for this unless its just a small section thats loose, as in a couple of inches and even then, I dont think it would hold long term.

Hmmmm .. well the boot seal has an edge that definitely held on with Adhesive of some sort, its just a 1 inch long part thats come free and waters running down through there.

The door seal is wierd, its almost likes its shrank and it wont go back into place, cant see clips of any sort... its a 2005 Volvo V50 btw
