sorry about lack of info ,it has 90,000miles on clock and did oil and fuel filters and oil last year,do you change the timing belt or is it a chain like some,? is there anything else i could change to help the performance,i felt it was getting slugish the last few weeks, thanks

what year of navara is it. D22 or D40? Both have timing chains so no need to change them. Has the oil in the front and rear differentials, transfer box and transmission ever been changed? If not you are well over due at this stage. If its laking in power could possible be the EGR valve needs to be cleaned. I blanked mine off, slightly better MPG and less smoke, not sure if you can do this on the d40, mines a 03 d22.

I have a set of kumho KL71 tyres, they are very chunky, amazing off road and in the snow, bit noisy on the road but not too bad. Have over 10000 miles on the and very little wear. This is them

They are 285/75/16, i had to put a 3" suspension lift kit to clear them. Another good tyre would be the general grabber at2, i have that for a spare and its nice and chunky more orientated to the road but i'd say it will be quieter. Here is a picture with the lift and the jeep

I got a really good deal on the lift kit, it was just over 400 euro, it included 4 new shocks, new upper a arms, rear spring lift block and drop shackles, all the hardware, the tyres cost me 580 mounted and balanced, i got the tyres from camskill in the uk for 520 delivered then 60 to mount and balance them. I installed the lift kit myself, wasn't too difficult took about a day in the driveway, would be quicker with a lifting ramp. You need to get the tracking done afterwards too. A body lift kit is a easier and cheaper route to go but for the price i couldn't pass up this kit. If you have a d40 you can get a 2.5" spacer that goes on the front coils which should allow you to run the same size tyre as mine, thats if yours is a d40 (they switched in 2005 but some are and some are left over d22's) there is some very good info on the navara's at www.nissan-navara.net you need to register to view any topics but its free.
