Work Training

    Hi All,

I am looking for suggestions on the following problem.

I am currently working a part-time job. As part of the work contract I am required to undertake training, to the value of €500 which the company will pay for. My boss came up to me this morning, and said that if I don't present 3 options by the end of next week, it will go against me when the contract goes to be renewed.

So, I need to find a training course up to the value of €500.

I am working in payroll, administration and accounts. I have the IPASS CPT qualifications, and am doing the IPASS CPM course, both of which are paid for and do not count towards this training allowance. I am also doing a degree in Financial Services (also paid for and not counted). I have the ECDL and MS Certification in Excel and Access, and working towards Word. Also I have Dips in Project Management, and level 6 in accounting and bookkeeping.

However, I still need another course or training program and could do with some suggestions. All suggestions gratefully accepted.

There are plenty of one-day courses in areas like decision-making, assertiveness training, innovative problem solving, etc, that can be fun, don't require much effort and you can actually take a lot out of them. They might be good options. Maybe a course focusing on supervisor skills?

I don't know where you are but could you do a single FETAC module.

The one in Behavioural Studies is interesting and would give you a broader understanding of the organisation.

It would be complementary to the Project Management
